How we clear a green pool.
Quick answer
A pool turns green when algae grow faster than the chlorine can kill them, which happens quickly in UAE heat. Warm water, strong sun burning off chlorine, and a missed visit or a weak filter are the usual causes. Clean Pool clears green pools over two or three visits: shock and brush, then filter and vacuum, then rebalance. We look at the pool first and quote before we start.

How long does it take to clear a green pool?
Usually two or three visits over a few days. Very dark green pools, or pools with a failing filter, can take longer. We tell you after the first look.
Is it safe to swim in a green pool?
No. Algae can hide bacteria and make the floor slippery and hard to see. Wait until the water is clear and the readings are back in range.
Why did my pool turn green so fast?
In UAE summer heat, chlorine can fall close to zero within a day. If a visit is missed, stabiliser is low or the pump doesn't run long enough, algae can take over in a few days.

How do I stop my pool turning green again?
Keep visits twice a week from May to October, hold stabiliser at 30 to 50 ppm and run the pump long enough each day.
